Yard Maintenance - Our friendly gardeners will work closely with you to help you get the most out of your NDIS plan. The Australian Government’s NDIS, or National Disability Insurance Scheme, provides support to eligible people with a disability aged between 6 and 65, so that their skills and independence improve over time.
When your disability means you need support to maintain your home and garden, it can be frustrating. Help is at hand with the Assistance with Daily Life funding, which comes under the Core Supports budget in your plan.

Minor Maintenance Repairs - Choice Support Tasmania's friendly maintenance person offers the following repairs in and around your house:
- Minor repairs to gutters
- Install security locks
- Minor plumbing, ie washers, minor leaks, minor blockages
- Limited Lawn Mowing Services
- One off garden maintenance (low level, etc)
- Electrical—change light bulbs & switches
- Other services for repairs or maintenance may be arranged through Choice Support Tasmania
Domestic Assistance - offers assistance with domestic duties, including assistance with cleaning, dishwashing, clothes washing, fresh linen and ironing, in order to maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment for our Participants.
Essential cleaning is offered across all areas that are regularly used by our Participants within their own home.
These include:
- bathrooms
- toilets
- kitchens
- laundries
- living areas and bedrooms.
Support workers undertake tasks such as cleaning stoves tops, wiping down bench tops and inside fridges as well as vacuuming or mopping floors, dusting, dishwashing, changing bed linen, washing, drying and doing essential ironing.
